Hospitals and Health Care

Little Company of Mary Hospitals in Torrance and San Pedro

The CHW recently completed a five story addition to the Torrance campus and Bridger Controls was involved from the initial design all the way through to the final commissioning. When we were finished we turned over the keys to a brand new central plant consisting of two500 ton chillers, 24 steam boilers, ten large air handling units and a brand new DDC system to control everything.

The San Pedro campus is now in the process of upgrading the entire system to match the sister campus in Torrance. Bridger originally installed the DDC system over ten years ago to control the core mechanical and electrical systems. Over the years the system has evolved to monitor emergency power, control and monitor specialized waste and delivery systems, and monitor and alarm the critical refrigeration areas which store both medicines and live medical materials.

Beach Cities Medical Facilities – Redondo Beach, California

The Beach Cities facility DDC system controls both the main mechanical systems, which consist of both a large absorbtion and centrifugal chiller sysems.  Additionally, the hospital rooms and common area environmental controls are all controlled and monitored by the DDC System.  In 2006 and 2007 the entire front end software was upgraded and modified to completely modernize the operating system and GUI.  At present, Bridger Control Systems is working together with the owner and consulting engineers to completely upgrade the central plant facilities.
